You can use your own UPS account for shipments by adding Oktober’s UPS account number to your approved sender list in your UPS Billing Center, then providing confirmation to your Oktober representative so billing can be routed correctly. You are also welcome to arrange your own freight, or send shipping labels. Please reach out to info@oktoberdesign.com before ordering to arrange this.

Yes, there is a trade‑up program that allows you to purchase a new machine (such as a current Model 7 or Model 8) and send in your eligible older unit for credit after the new machine arrives and you ship the old one back with the provided label. To get started, order your new machine and email us your order number.
To request a cancellation, email or call us with your order number right away. If your order has not yet shipped, we’ll cancel and process a refund; if it has already shipped, you may need to follow our return process instead. Please note custom labeled cans cannot be cancelled once they are in production.
If you need to adjust an order (such as changing items, quantities, or details), contact our support team as soon as possible with your order number. Changes can usually be made before the order has shipped; once in transit, options are more limited.
We accept major credit and debit cards and can also accommodate ACH payments for larger orders by request. To set up ACH, contact us so we can create a custom order and provide banking details.
We accept third party financing for the CL1 Canning Line via ACH.
For cans, pallet quantities, offer the best pricing and reduced shipping costs. For seamers, contact us for a bulk discount arrangement.

Lead times vary by product: can seamers usually ship after 2-3 weeks, brite cans often ship within 2 business days, and custom labeled cans ship 2-3 weeks after proof approval/order date. Orders that include different types of products (for example, a can seamer plus cans and accessories) may ship from different locations or on different timelines, so it is normal for them to arrive in more than one box or delivery. When cans arrive with partial damage, report how many are unusable and provide photos so support can review; in many cases, a proportional store credit or replacement for the damaged portion can be issued instead of returning the entire shipment. Unused can seamers, tools, and accessories in original condition may typically be returned within a limited window from purchase, subject to inspection and any applicable restocking fees. The same can seamer can run different can sizes by changing adapters, tooling, and chucks, but each size still requires the proper setup to form a proper seam. Some replacement parts are still available for MK machines, and customers who want updated features can also use the trade‑up program to move into a current model while receiving credit for their MK. To order MK parts, contact us directly at info@oktoberdesign.com and include photos.
Can seamer models include a limited parts warranty period from the date of purchase that covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal use, and assistance plus replacement parts are available through the support team during that window. Adapters were updated in recent years, and you can tell which style you have by looking at the top edge: older versions have a chamfered top, while newer versions have a more squared edge profile, which helps with selecting compatible parts and guides. Model 7 got an upgrade in early 2024, so if your machine predates that, it is a Model 7. If you purchased it new after Feb. 2024, it is most likely a Model 7+. Routine care typically includes regular cleaning, lubrication of key moving parts, and periodic seam checks and calibration. New or unusual noise may be a sign of contamination, lack of lubrication, or a part starting to wear, so cleaning exposed moving parts, following the lubrication schedule, and visually inspecting bearings, shafts, and rollers is a smart early step. Currently there is no refurbished program.
The Model 8 motor uses about the same amount of power as a strong blender or desktop computer setup, typically around 500–650 watts while running, which is less than most espresso machines or microwaves. It runs on a standard wall outlet, with only a brief higher power draw when the motor first starts up.
Most manual seamers depend on operator speed. About 9 cans per minute is average on the Model 8 Automatic.

This “wooling” issue can occur if the first operation roller is set too high or if rollers are not spinning freely. Also check roller vertical alignment.
Non-carbonated beverages may feel soft without internal pressure. Filling cold and full helps. Nitrogen dosing is another option. We threaded the lever hole all of the way through. On the Model 7, you will need to remove the sheet metal stop bracket to expose the other side. You can then use the slow, steady pressure of a 1/8th in. drill bit to spin them the rest of the way through and out the other side (you won’t actually drill into the steel). PET cans are designed for cold‑fill applications and not intended for high‑temperature tunnel pasteurization, so extreme heat exposure should be avoided.
Many industry‑standard cans from other suppliers can be seamed as long as their dimensions and end profiles match the tooling on your machine, but seam performance with unknown cans cannot be guaranteed, so testing a small batch first is strongly recommended.
Sample cans are often available so you can confirm size, appearance, and compatibility with your product and seamer before purchasing in bulk. Typically, samples themselves are free and you only pay shipping. Email your request and shipping address to info@oktoberdesign.com to get started.

Different end types such as B64 or CDL refer to the lid design and profile that mates with the can body; each type requires matching seamer tooling and chucks, and using the correct combination helps ensure seam integrity and compatibility with industry standards.
We offer a range of can formats, including standard aluminum brite cans, custom labeled cans, PET cans, and steel cans for products like coffee. Each type has its own recommended fill applications, size options, and matching ends.
Cans should be kept clean and dry in storage, then sanitized just before use with an appropriate food‑safe sanitizer and technique, following the guidance in your operations resources and any product‑specific recommendations for your beverage type.
Our can seamers and cans are appropriate for both still and carbonated beverages.
Shelf life depends heavily on your recipe, sanitation, oxygen management, carbonation, and storage conditions, but good practices such as CO₂ purging, minimizing headspace, cold seaming, and careful packaging can substantially improve stability. TEST YOUR PRODUCT!
Aluminum beverage cans use BPA-non-intent (BPA-NI) liners to protect beverages and prevent corrosion. The tint indicates the liner is present.
Aluminum cans actually hold carbonation more consistently than, glass. Because cans are fully sealed with a double seam and don’t rely on a separate closure (like a crown or screw cap), there’s less variability. You can comfortably package anything from still up through highly carbonated products (beer, RTDs, sparkling wine, etc.) as long as your seam and fill process are dialed in.
Aluminum cans can be bath pasteurized but are not rated for full retort. Clear PET cans should not be used with heat processes. Aluminum cans are well-suited for tunnel pasteurization and are commonly run through those systems in the beverage industry. As long as your temps and dwell times are within standard ranges, you won't have any issues.
Labels produced on durable films like BOPP are designed to resist moisture and typical condensation in cold‑chain environments, providing good durability for canned beverages stored in coolers and ice baths. Print‑ready files are usually accepted in professional formats such as PDF or vector artwork (for example, AI) with appropriate resolution, color mode, and fonts prepared according to the label specs. Label content must follow all applicable regulations for your product type and region, and alcoholic beverages in particular need the required government warnings and statements, which are the responsibility of the brand owner to include correctly in the artwork. Please note that labels do not provide full can coverage. A small gap will remain where the label edges meet, and there will also be visible space between the label and the top and bottom rims of the can. Complete top-to-bottom and full-wrap coverage can only be achieved through shrink sleeves or direct-to-can printing, which are not services we currently offer. PET cans have a smaller label that only covers a portion of the can, due to the curvature in the can making it impossible to apply a label to more can surface.
The CL1 can run different can formats when it is equipped with the correct adapters and tooling for each size; changing sizes requires swapping components and rechecking alignment to maintain fill accuracy and seam quality.
The CL1 is a filling and seaming system rather than a carbonation system, so the product should be carbonated to the desired level upstream in a tank or keg before entering the line.
The CL1 is designed to run up to around 20 cans per minute under typical settings, depending on product characteristics and operator workflow. It can handle both still and carbonated beverages, as long as carbonation is managed upstream and product pressure and temperature are set appropriately.
The CL1 is a compact, fully automated canning line designed for small to mid‑scale producers, combining a multi‑head filler with an automatic seaming system on a single mobile frame.
