We sell seamers and everything else you need direct from our online store.

We have a standard 2-week leadtime to ship seamers, and build all our seamers to order.  Generally we can expedite seamers if necessary; shoot us an email and we will see what we can do.  Custom colors generally ship within that same 2-week lead time, depending on the availability of the color powder.

Shipping costs are calculated and displayed before you make a purchase from our online store.  There are also several carrier and method options available.

We sell 32oz, 19.2oz, 16oz, 12oz, 8oz cans direct from our online store in “box-size” quantities.  We also have a list of suppliers that offer larger quantities, labeling, etc.

If you choose the custom color option, we will make sure to work with you to make sure you get the perfect color!  We use RAL codes, so if you know the RAL code that is the easiest way to get started. You can leave us a note in your order with instructions for which color you would like, or we will reach out to you.  You can also shoot us an email to Emily@oktoberdesign.com.

We ship can seamers all over the world, and sell direct from our online store.  We have good rates on international shipping, and can work with you if you would like to set up your own shipping.  We currently are working on our CE Certification, until then we do not ship to European countries that require it. If shipping to your country is not allowed when you go to check out your shopping cart, let us know and we will set it up for you.

The MK16v2 and SL1 can seamers share many components and features.  Both produce the same high-quality seams.  The MK16v2 is designed for professional businesses and continuous heavy use with simple quick daily maintenance.   The SL1 was specifically designed for less frequent use and requires a bit more routine maintenance, making it less ideal for commercial applications.

When we started designing our can seamers, our #1 requirement was simplicity.  We came up with concepts for a seamer that can handle all sizes, but decided that the compromises in simplicity and reliability weren’t worth the extra capability.  We also kept the cost low enough that you can buy both of our seamers for about the same cost as a single 32oz seamer from our cheapest competitor.

Oktober can seamers work with all major can manufacturers.  Generally, cans are manufactured to the same set of specifications, regardless of the manufacturer.

The MK16v2 is super versatile, and can seam many sizes of cans.  It comes standard for 16oz and 12oz “202” end cans. There is a variety of other 202 end cans, like 8oz “stubbys”, 500ml, 330ml, 440ml, 375ml, etc. that only require an optional lower adapter.  Lower adapters can be swapped out in a few seconds. Sleek and Slim cans, such as 12oz “sleek”, 8oz “sleek” also require the optional “sleek can guide”.

The MK16v2 can also seal “200” end cans (the size RedBulltm is famous for) with the optional “200 end tooling” set, which is an upper chuck and roller set designed for the smaller diameter of 200 end cans.  We have several optional lower adapters for 200 end cans, like 250ml, 8oz, etc.

The MK19.2v2 is super versatile, and can seam many sizes of cans.  It comes standard for 19.2oz, 16oz and 12oz “202” end cans. The  MK32 comes standard for 32oz “Crowler” cans, and can also seal 750ml cans with an optional lower adapter.

There are a variety of end sizes and profiles.  Make sure to choose the correct upper chuck option to match the end type you plan to use.

32oz Crowler cans, and 750ml cans use size 300 B64 ends.  Ball is the only current manufacturer of those can sizes, so they all use the same type of end.

Standard 12oz, 16oz, etc. use size “202” ends.

By far the most common profile in the craft industry is 202 B64 (202LOE), which is standard on Oktober seamers.  Many places also use CDL profile ends, so make sure to check which profile you are getting from your can supplier.  All types work equally well on Oktober seamers, and the type you end up choosing should be based on the supply of cans you are using.

Within the size 200 ends (the type of cans RedBull is famous for), most common are CDL profile, and B64 profile.

Other than the can seamer, you only need cans, and you are ready to get canning!  Down the road you may want to purchase a set of calipers and a tear-down tool to inspect seams.  We also sell food-safe grease, but any keg grease you have around will work for the few spots on our seamers that require lube periodically.  Check out our series of how-to videos for more info.

The handles on our seamers will last the lifetime of the seamer, provided that they are fully tightened into the roller block.  If they back out, the threads can bend and eventually break off. We now supply a jam-nut installed near the ball of the handle that allows using a 7/16in wrench to tighten the handles in.  You can also use it to remove the handle by holding the ball from rotating and backing the handle out with the same wrench.
